[Last night, should you be one of those lucky enough to remember it, was an ordinary night. You went to sleep, and perhaps you dreamed of something pleasant! Or perhaps you dreamed of something foul. Either way, when you wake up this morning…

The torch bracketed to the wall flickers warmly, casting deep shadows against the stone. A small spider is scuttling across your leg beneath the blanket; there are no windows; and one door (the only door) stands very slightly ajar. If you listen… Can you hear the sound of others stirring?]

((OOC: Welcome to Part 1 of the pre-game mingle! Teams are sealed into their dorms until further notice. If you're not available to play until later, don't worry; just assume that your character hasn't been able to wake up yet. All characters are wearing their new uniform; all powers are completely locked down; nobody has the game tattoo yet.))

Teams will find:
- A small hunting knife and a spare uniform inside the wooden chests in their bedrooms.
- A small sack of oatmeal, a pitcher of milk, and a handful of jerky scraps each in the kitchen. There is not enough to feed six people comfortably for a day.

I haven't heard the call. This doesn't look like just some game, especially given everything. I'm not sure this even has anything to do with Aather to begin with.

They don't seem to remember anything, like they just popped out the ring. But their scarves aren't of any of the other team colors.

That's why I'm not sure this really has to do with Aather anymore.

I really don't like this.

We need to find a way out to understand our situation better. But it's not likely we'll be able to until whoever's in charge now decides to.

If we've been taken somewhere else, chances are other people from Aather have, too. And we can exchange information then.

I can do some scouting once we get out of this place.
