What: GAME :)

[The call, when it comes, is an irresistible impulse. Should you try to resist anyway, you may find yourself moving against your will…

It feels like barely any time has passed at all when you finally arrive inside the Dome. The structure is even vaster on the inside that it looked to be on the outside, and directly in the center sits a huge throne… Probably, anyway; it's hard to look at it directly, even though it's at least three stories tall. The figure slouched in the throne is just as difficult to pin down. Ringed around the throne are eight small buildings, which some of you may recognize as war rooms.

Somewhere on your body, in a patch about an inch and a half across, you feel an itch… It doesn't go away.]

[It's been a long morning, full of bonding with your fellow teammates, trying to get out, and whatever else you found to occupy yourself with. Maybe you're hungry… Or maybe that rumbling, churning sound is coming from the door? And maybe that clicking snap was an internal lock springing open? GO FORTH AND FIND OUT.

And when you eventually find your way outside, it's to the view of a large, skyless cavern, lit by burning yet smokeless patches of something on the ceiling high above. It's bright enough, but no substitute for real daylight.]

[Last night, should you be one of those lucky enough to remember it, was an ordinary night. You went to sleep, and perhaps you dreamed of something pleasant! Or perhaps you dreamed of something foul. Either way, when you wake up this morning…

The torch bracketed to the wall flickers warmly, casting deep shadows against the stone. A small spider is scuttling across your leg beneath the blanket; there are no windows; and one door (the only door) stands very slightly ajar. If you listen… Can you hear the sound of others stirring?]

((OOC: Welcome to Part 1 of the pre-game mingle! Teams are sealed into their dorms until further notice. If you're not available to play until later, don't worry; just assume that your character hasn't been able to wake up yet. All characters are wearing their new uniform; all powers are completely locked down; nobody has the game tattoo yet.))

Teams will find:
- A small hunting knife and a spare uniform inside the wooden chests in their bedrooms.
- A small sack of oatmeal, a pitcher of milk, and a handful of jerky scraps each in the kitchen. There is not enough to feed six people comfortably for a day.
