(no subject)

Who: Y'ALL.
Where: The dorms.
When: Day 01, morning.
What:

[Last night, should you be one of those lucky enough to remember it, was an ordinary night. You went to sleep, and perhaps you dreamed of something pleasant! Or perhaps you dreamed of something foul. Either way, when you wake up this morning…

The torch bracketed to the wall flickers warmly, casting deep shadows against the stone. A small spider is scuttling across your leg beneath the blanket; there are no windows; and one door (the only door) stands very slightly ajar. If you listen… Can you hear the sound of others stirring?]

((OOC: Welcome to Part 1 of the pre-game mingle! Teams are sealed into their dorms until further notice. If you're not available to play until later, don't worry; just assume that your character hasn't been able to wake up yet. All characters are wearing their new uniform; all powers are completely locked down; nobody has the game tattoo yet.))

Teams will find:
- A small hunting knife and a spare uniform inside the wooden chests in their bedrooms.
- A small sack of oatmeal, a pitcher of milk, and a handful of jerky scraps each in the kitchen. There is not enough to feed six people comfortably for a day.
- More details about the dorms here!

Aries | Taurus | Virgo | Leo | Scorpio | Aquarius | Pisces))

Exactly. Especially if they happened to grab people older than Ling and I. Some people had a lot of memories.

Ahh, the ones who remember too much would be no good for this, I imagine. If they had enough, they'd have less reason to participate fully.
shednotearsformagic: (It's strange)

Re: LEO

[personal profile] shednotearsformagic 2012-07-05 07:15 am (UTC)(link)
Or more reason to. Sometimes remembering enough will give you enough to suspect, but not know for sure.

But it does give them a shorter time.

[personal profile] brightblinded 2012-07-05 07:20 am (UTC)(link)
Time? Do they leave once they have it all back?
shednotearsformagic: (What is this?)

Re: LEO

[personal profile] shednotearsformagic 2012-07-05 07:21 am (UTC)(link)
They could in Aather. Or when they have most back, at the very least.

Hn... Here's hoping it's similar enough we're not misleading ourselves, then, yeah?

Re: LEO

[personal profile] shednotearsformagic 2012-07-05 07:29 am (UTC)(link)
Well, there must be a reason we're all like taht.

That or maybe you new people were being dragged to Aather as we speak and they could only take from there.

Re: LEO

[personal profile] brightblinded 2012-07-05 06:39 pm (UTC)(link)
That seems like a lot of people at once, if all the teams are split in half like we are.

Re: LEO

[personal profile] shednotearsformagic 2012-07-06 01:59 pm (UTC)(link)
It is. How do the Personae not stop them?

Re: LEO

[personal profile] brightblinded 2012-07-06 08:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Would the Personae stop them?
shednotearsformagic: (Voldemort is talking to us. =|)

Re: LEO

We're valuable resources.

Valuable enough that they'll put people in the Book rather than let the Darkness have them in the hopes they can use them again.

Re: LEO

[personal profile] brightblinded 2012-07-06 09:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Huh. So you think what pulled us here is stronger than those...?
shednotearsformagic: (So it's Kid...)

Re: LEO

[personal profile] shednotearsformagic 2012-07-06 09:18 pm (UTC)(link)
It could be stronger.

The worrying part is there was no notice. If it's just the few of us here, less so, but if there's more teams, more people...

It would be hard to miss that sort of struggle.

Re: LEO

[personal profile] brightblinded 2012-07-06 09:23 pm (UTC)(link)
So a lot stronger, or a lot sneakier.
shednotearsformagic: (...what?)

Re: LEO

[personal profile] shednotearsformagic 2012-07-06 09:25 pm (UTC)(link)
There wasn't a lot of room to sneak. The world doesn't have much left, that's why we're in those games.

Re: LEO

[personal profile] brightblinded 2012-07-06 09:31 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm sorta doubting we were brought here on foot.
shednotearsformagic: (What's that?)

Re: LEO

[personal profile] shednotearsformagic 2012-07-06 09:35 pm (UTC)(link)
I doubt it too.

But there's an all consuming darkness, and then there's the realms we're in, that are ruled by a certain Persona.

Where did it come in from TO grab us? Because it did still need to reach out.

Re: LEO

[personal profile] brightblinded 2012-07-06 09:40 pm (UTC)(link)
That darkness, maybe? I'm afraid I don't know how these things work.
shednotearsformagic: (So it's Kid...)

Re: LEO

[personal profile] shednotearsformagic 2012-07-08 03:53 am (UTC)(link)
But it seems the darkness is an entity itself.

...though...

Re: LEO

[personal profile] shednotearsformagic 2012-07-08 04:32 am (UTC)(link)
Who knows what happens when people are taken by the darkness. There is a statue of them, that can be seen in the dark, but is that really them?
brightblinded: (45)

Re: LEO

[personal profile] brightblinded 2012-07-08 04:37 am (UTC)(link)
... So you think that might be what got us?
shednotearsformagic: (...what?)

Re: LEO

[personal profile] shednotearsformagic 2012-07-08 04:46 am (UTC)(link)
It very well could be. Maybe it's decided to use the Personae's tactics against them. Grab a bunch of people, some of the newbies, and put them in it's own game.

Re: LEO

[personal profile] brightblinded 2012-07-08 05:10 am (UTC)(link)
How do these help, anyway? The games.
shednotearsformagic: (...what?)

Re: LEO

[personal profile] shednotearsformagic 2012-07-08 05:13 am (UTC)(link)
Magic, power, comes from sacrifice. It doesn't have to be a material item. It's possible to sacrifice a feeling or the ability to do a certain action to receive power.

Games make strong reactions. Those reactions are taken and turned into power.
