That's... my experience, as well. So it seems.

Those lost memories, can they be...

[found? regained? stolen back if somebody stole them? would it... be possible...? To remember more. To know. To be what he remembers being. Memories, surely... all's in memories? To feel like in that memory. That's missing. Memories. That's what everybody's here missing, so somebody must have plans, surely.]

Mm, yeah, we can get 'em back. There's... I'm not sure what to really call them, here, but they seem to be in charge, whatever they are. They call us to their games, and the winners will sometimes regain memories.

"Games". What kind of games.

Competitions between our teams for their enjoyment more than ours. Even the ones that seem decent, like having teams create something to represent what they value, end up awful anyway--that one ended with people destroying what was made, and damaging our feelings in the process.

So feelings can be damaged? So that's possible. I suppose... could our feelings be damaged upon arrival, as well?

I guess they could be, yeah... the amnesia can affect how we react to what little we do remember.

Most people here and in the place I came from take a name until they get theirs back... usually by their own choice. But if you don't want one, I... guess that can work, too.

And you're right. Who we are inside stays the same no matter what.

It's my real name. The first memory I regained had it. Uh, not everyone's that lucky, though, some people go a long time without theirs.
